Bakari Sibert

Bakari Sibert was a Strategy and Operations Associate for the Jain Family Institute until 2023. Before joining JFI, Bakari was selected as a 2020-2021 Henry Luce Scholar. He spent a year in South Korea researching design thinking that incorporates traditional crafts and contemporary making methods. Bakari is a 2020 graduate of Howard University with a BA in political science and philosophy. In 2019, Bakari was a Johns Hopkins Berman Institute of Bioethics Research Fellow. As a fellow, he developed the first version of a research code book for Genetics and Genomics Research for the country of Uganda, in partnership with H3Africa. During undergrad, he served as Howard University Student Association Director of Health and Wellness, and intern for the American Foreign Service Association, Department of Labor.
