Announcing JFI’s partnership with the Research in Color Foundation

We are thrilled to announce our partnership with the Research in Color Foundation (RIC). We will work together to champion underrepresented scholars in economics and economics-adjacent spaces through mentorship, internships, and financial support. Ultimately, we seek to increase the number of underrepresented scholars in economics and improve retention of these scholars, thereby building the collective power of minoritized individuals to influence policies that affect public life.

As part of this newly formalized collaboration, Research in Color will now be able to provide the Research in Color Scholarship to mentees who are non-U.S. citizens.

About RIC: The Research In Color Foundation (RIC) works to level the playing field, expand perspectives in economics to include a broader range of paradigms and narratives, and reduce the barriers to intellectual endeavors for Black people and people of color in economics and economics-adjacent professions. As part of this work, RIC strives to increase the number of Ph.D. students of color in economics and economics-adjacent disciplines, and to amplify meaningful economic and policy research on and by communities of color.
