Pablo Uc is a writer, professor-researcher at academic institutions, and Associate Editor at Phenomenal World.
He has published various research papers and book chapters on Latin American and Caribbean history and critical geopolitics, multilateralism, and international conflict from the perspective of global south countries, and anti-systemic movements. As well as in the field of studies on indigenous peoples and social movements, democracy and State in Bolivia, Argentina, Mexico,
and the countries of Central America.
He has an undergraduate degree in International Relations and Political Science from the University of Guadalajara; a Master’s degree in Social Sciences and Humanities with a specialty in history and political geography from the Center for Higher Studies of Mexico and Central America (CESMECA), and a PhD in Social Anthropology from the Center for Research and Higher Studies in Social Anthropology (CIESAS). He has offered lectures at universities in Mexico, Latin America, the U.S., and Europe. He is coordinator of the Observatory of Democracies: Southern Mexico and Central America, in Chiapas, Mexico.
