Sultana Fouzia
Research Fellow
Sultana Fouzia, a research fellow with JFI’s Higher Education Finance team, earned her Ph.D. in Applied Economics from Oregon State University. Her doctoral studies focused on investigating how natural disasters affect local labor markets. Presently, her research endeavors revolve around examining how student debt influences the welfare of borrowers. Before joining JFI, Fouzia contributed her expertise to the Student Borrower Protection Center, and Student Loan Law Initiative at the University of California, Berkeley.
