Miranda Strominger
Co-author, CUNY Graduate Center PhD Candidate in Geography
Miranda Strominger collaborated on 2023’s Municipal Public Banking project from JFI and the Berggruen Institute. She co-authored the report, “Municipal Bank of LA: Housing Solutions and Portfolio Options,” drawing on her professional work in affordable housing and community land trusts in California.
Miranda is currently a doctoral student in geography at CUNY. Before coming to the CUNY Graduate Center, she worked to advance community control of land and housing with community land trusts in Oakland and Berkeley, California, and in Somerville, Massachusetts. She holds an MA and BA from Stanford University and is a graduate of the Coro Fellows Program in Public Affairs. View her academic page here.
